How To Become A Member
How to become a member of Tau Beta Sigma
Hey everyone! We wanted to let you know a few things about becoming a member of our great service organization.
Hopefully you've been to one of our rush functions this semester to see how fun it is to be a part of such a great sisterhood! We will be having one last rush function on January 17th, Formal Rush. Look out for announcements posted around Elliott for more information about this event. We strongly encourage anyone who is interested to come check us out. You never know what you might learn or who you might meet!
The Formal Rush event in the spring will be a formal meet-and-greet with active members where you can sign up for a formal interview. The next day will consist of an interview between each potential new member and the active members of chapter. After the interview, active chapter will extend bids to candidates who qualify for membership.
Requirements to become a candidate:
Once the candidate has accepted his or her bid (YES, WE ARE CO-ED!!), the new candidate class will continue with formal membership training. After the candidate semester, all new members will be activated and will be official voting members of the Beta Sigma chapter of Tau Beta Sigma!
The best part is, you can meet and get to know people from the band department to form life-long relationships. You don’t even have to join TBΣ to meet people at rush functions or other public chapter activities.
Come see what we’re all about at rush functions or chat with anyone wearing TBΣ letters around Elliott. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask any chapter member, or shoot us an email through the “Contact Us” link.
Keep your ears and eyes open for the next rush event! We hope to see you there!
