Services Announcements

According to the Tau Beta Sigma, Beta Sigma Chapter Bylaws, "The Services Committee Shall:"

6.05.1 Design and execute service projects pertaining to Purdue Bands and the community,
6.05.2 Coordinate ushering for departmental concerts and all receptions designated to the chapter,
6.05.3 Work with the Gamma Pi chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi chapter to improve the quality of the Purdue Bands program through joint service.

Projects for the Spring 2009 Semester (To be updated as needed)

•  "Operation Room 15" -- Thursday, February 26- Sunday, March 1, 2009
  Clean and paint the walls of Room 15 in "Mushroom Cap" to give the room a fresher, more professional, "Old Gold" appearance. Side riser boards and kickboards will also be painted black to conceal the currently unsightly appearance.
• Ushering
  Ushers will hand out programs, help patrons to seats, collect raffle forms from the audience and help with any other duties.

• Band Lounge Clean-up
  Members will maintain the cleanliness and overall neatness of the band lounge by encouraging cleaning and keeping supplies in stock.
• Other tentative projects
  Dead Storage- Adding shelves and improving the overall efficiency of space in the band's dead storage unit.
  Vintage Band Music- Sorting vintage band music for database entry and storage.
  Girl Scout Music Day- Helping local Girl Scouts earn their music badge with relevant activities.
